I’m an artist and photographer based in Portugal and the US, creating work inspired by travel, history, vintage design, and the people and ideas that leave a lasting mark.

My collection ranges from original photography of Portugal, including coastal landscapes, historic towns, architecture, and everyday scenes, to retro-inspired pinup artwork and vintage-style prints influenced by advertising, illustration, and popular culture. I also create suffragette, feminist, equality, and human rights art, often borrowing the visual language of old posters, newspapers, protest graphics, and political ephemera.

I enjoy moving between beautiful, nostalgic, humorous, and thought-provoking subjects rather than limiting myself to a single style. Whether I’m photographing a centuries-old Portuguese castle, creating a playful retro illustration, or reimagining the look of an early protest poster, my goal is to make artwork with personality, atmosphere, and a story behind it. - Hecate Pim
